Who am I?

I am Jessica Canty. Born in country NSW, I am now based in Melbourne Australia and I am a freelance writer, editor, and content creator. I hold a Bachelors in Media and Communications, and I’m currently studying a Masters of Media and Communication at Swinburne University of Technology.

I’m currently the lead producer of Contenders, a diverse sports podcast made by Swinburne’s The Standard.

When i’m not feverishly writing or otherwise glaring at my computer screen, I work part-time in the coffee industry. Coffee is a big passion of mine, and it is often the subject of my writing and research. If i’m not doing all things coffee or talking about sport, you can find me researching and writing about social media and its impact on society.

My skills include: writing and editing, SEO management, strategic communications, and social media management. I also have content creation and editorial abilities, and I am both confident and experienced in team leading and management.

Outside of work related passions, I am a trained vocalist and adore all things music.
